The 11th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) is a transformative event that serves as a crucial aspect of learning away from the classroom. The symposium, supported by 10 United Nations Agencies, will be held in the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok, from August 1 to 4, 2023.
Highlights
One of the highlights of this event is the exhibition set up by 10 UN agencies, showcasing the remarkable work and impact they have made in various domains. The UN exhibition aims to create awareness among participants about the diverse systems and initiatives undertaken by the United Nations. Students will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from these agencies, fostering a deeper understanding of global issues and potential solutions.
Seven UN agencies will conduct interactive workshops during the symposium. These workshops will delve into specific topics, empowering our delegates with practical knowledge, skills, and strategies to address pressing global challenges. The engagement with these UN agencies will be a tremendous opportunity for our emerging world leaders to enhance their understanding of international development, intercultural communication, and collaboration.
The delegates will get their hands dirty by planting trees, cleaning the river, building fish habitats, and serving those communities in need.
Keynote Address
The keynote address at the 11th University Scholars Leadership Symposium will be delivered by Ms Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of UN ESCAP.
